  NZ troops' Tonga role nears end

New Zealand troops may be withdrawn from Tonga this week now the situation there is calm after riots that cost six lives almost two weeks ago.
 
Defence Minister Phil Goff says Tonga has stabilised and he hopes the Australian force will be able to withdraw within a couple of days.
 
The New Zealand force will follow shortly after that.
